Since 2000 Matthew Maran has travelled the world - winning awards for his landscape and wildlife photography in the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, British Wildlife Photography Awards and Travel Photographer of the Year competitions. His work has been published worldwide in films, books, conservation journals and magazines including Outdoor Photography, BBC Wildlife and National Geographic.
Matthew is a London based photographer currently specialising in recording the urban wildlife and landscapes of Hampstead Heath.

Matthew spent countless hours roaming the Heath’s beautiful grasslands and forests, capturing images of the wildlife and landscapes of this ancient London park.
Large format Diasec-mounted prints of photographs from the book are also on display and available for sale.
To celebrate the release of Matthew's new book - Hampstead Heath, London's Countryside Matthew has released this film shot over the seasons which shows behind the scenes footage and features interviews with City of London Corporation staff and people strongly connected to the Heath.
