Art Material-ism

Twelve years ago, I was introduced by fellow artist Colin Fraser to the Catto Gallery. Soon after I hosted my debut solo exhibition. My career took off and my work took me around the world. In the process I realised – at art fairs, on the internet and via social media – that I was not the only one making art my way. I discovered a cohort of artists with a similar approach to mine. Like me, they were fashioning amazingly detailed art from previously untapped material.
